FAQs: The UX Insiders Community

What will I do as a Motorola Solutions UX Insider?

As a member of the UX Insider Community, you will be able to see and comment on early designs for our software tools and products, participate in the development of new features or products, and discuss new concepts cooked up by our design team.

You will also be able to connect with community members with similar backgrounds in discussion boards and forums, share your professional experience and your point of view in surveys, quizzes, polls and more!

How often will you ask for my participation?

We know you are busy and we don’t want to clog your inbox with invitations to participate. Our goal is to have 2 to 4 short activities each month available to you. If we are starting a more intensive research study, we will give you a heads up in advance and make sure you are interested in participating before inviting you to that study.

Is this confidential?

With the exception of discussion boards where your posts would be visible to other community members, your responses, feedback and critiques of the designs we show you are confidential. Responses and feedback will be reported in aggregate and de-identified prior to sharing outside of the research team. In our reporting, we will never share names, contact information, identifying photos or videos, or give the name of your employer or agency.

Is there anything I can’t say or post?

We want you to be honest with us in your feedback and responses. If you don’t like something we’ve designed, we want to know! You won’t hurt our feelings. But we do want our members to be respectful of others and do their part to keep the community a fun, open, and welcoming place for everyone. You can find specifics in the Community Activities section of the Terms of Use, but in short, posts that are unlawful, threatening, harassing, abusive, vulgar, or hateful have no place in this community.

How is my privacy protected?

There are many ways we work to protect your privacy. Most importantly, the information we collect is used for research purposes-- not for marketing or sales. Any information you share with us will be deidentified in analysis and reporting. If you want to understand more about our privacy policy and practices, check out our privacy statement!
